We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Maker to join our culinary team at Liscio's Italian Bakery, Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality pizzas and managing all aspects of pizza preparation, from ingredient selection to baking. This role demands a high level of energy and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings according to our traditional recipes.
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment with proficiency and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pizza preparation and serving areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Ensure all pizzas are prepared to a high standard and in line with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in the food industry, specifically in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in food preparation, with a preference for skills in baking and pizza oven operation.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse team and customer base.
- Reliable transportation is required, as the position involves working at multiple sites within Glassboro, Sewell and Sicklerville and possibly traveling between our bakeries and deli.
