Looking for a veterinary practice where technicians and assistants are trusted, supported, and encouraged to use the skills they’ve worked hard to develop? Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic may be exactly what you’re looking for.
We’re seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated and outgoing team.
Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic is a five-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice in the heart of Silicon Valley. Our team works between two practices: our main clinic and our FelineVMA Gold Certified cat clinic. Our stand-alone cat clinic features dedicated feline-only doctors and is one of the many things that makes working here unique.
We have a strong technician-driven workflow and team-based care model where our patients and their people always come first. RVTs and Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to contribute at the highest level appropriate to their experience, credentials, and comfort.
For our Veterinary Assistants, that also means opportunities to grow in whatever direction inspires you—including potentially becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.
We believe great veterinary medicine happens when everyone on the team can contribute.
At Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, you can look forward to:
Your responsibilities will scale based on your experience, credentials, skills, and comfort level. We want you to use the abilities you already have while giving you opportunities to continue developing new ones.
Depending on your role, responsibilities may include:
Whether you’re a credentialed RVT or an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we’re looking for someone who brings strong patient care skills, compassion, curiosity, and a team-first approach.
Our ideal candidate brings:
Professional growth isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we want our team members to have opportunities to develop in the directions that interest them most.
At Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, we’ll:
There’s a difference between being hired because of your skills and working somewhere that actually lets you use them.
At Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, RVTs and experienced Veterinary Assistants are important members of the medical team. Whether you’re leading client education, providing advanced nursing care, supporting dentistry and anesthesia, or developing a brand-new skill, we want you to have opportunities to contribute.
You’ll also get the unique experience of working between our main practice and our FelineVMA Gold Certified cat clinic, where dedicated feline-only doctors provide specialized care. We’re committed to Cat Friendly and Fear Free medicine and ensure our staff members become certified in these techniques.
And with four 10-hour shifts and consistent scheduling, you’ll have more predictability when planning life outside of work.
Add in shout-out raffles, in-clinic games and competitions, outside-of-work team events, and a group that genuinely enjoys celebrating each other, and you’ll find a workplace that takes veterinary medicine seriously without taking itself too seriously.
At Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, pets are family, and caring for patients starts with caring for the people who care for them.
We believe staff well-being is essential to providing excellent patient care. Growth, connection, education, and teamwork aren’t extras here—they’re an important part of how we practice veterinary medicine.
Our core values guide how we care for our patients, clients, and each other:
Come Grow With Us!
