Carthage Animal Hospital is Hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant!

Position Details

Role: Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Status: Part-time

Salary: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and licensure

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. No nights, weekends, or holidays

Experience: Prior veterinary assistant experience or veterinary technician licensure

What You’ll Do

As our Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant, you’ll:

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care to our patients as part of a collaborative veterinary team
  • Support our doctors and teammates throughout the day to keep the hospital running smoothly
  • Listen to clients (yes, even as they explain why their cat or dog is the best one that ever lived) and help them feel heard and supported
  • [Add specific clinical duties, e.g., patient restraint, lab work, radiographs, dental, anesthesia monitoring]
  • Share your knowledge and encourage the professional growth of those around you
  • Bring positive energy that makes every day better for patients, clients, and coworkers

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience as a veterinary assistant, or current licensure as a veterinary technician. Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required.
