Job Description

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Tampa office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
  • Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects.
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of related mechanical experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) is preferred but not required.
  • Proven design experience HVAC systems and related controls.
  • Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas is preferred.
  • Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck & FLACOM.
  • Experience in Revit is required and experience in AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Field experience is a plus.
  • Commissioning experience is a plus.
  • Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team.
