The Plant People is looking for an experienced Landscape Team Leader to join our vibrant crew and help shape green spaces that make a difference.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for someone who’s not just skilled but also driven to lead and grow with us. You’ll ideally have:

• At least 3 years’ experience in horticulture and
landscaping

• At least 2 years’ experience running a team.

• Health & Safety focused mindset

• The ability to read and interpret plans

• The ability to do site measures

• Time management skills

• A full Class 1 NZ driver’s licence + experience with a
manual vehicle minimum, Class 2 & W,T,R endorsements are a bonus!

• Strong communication skills

• Confidence using mobile apps and reporting tools

• Able to produce daily pre-starts and associated paperwork

What You’ll Do:

You will be joining our ‘Landscape Team’, working on a huge
variety of projects, including Subdivisions, Commercial Buildings, Stormwater
Ponds & Stream Restoration. You’ll have direction from Landscape Project
Manager who will manage your weekly schedule. You’ll be hands-on and lead by
example, with duties including:

• Site preparation & garden building, including the
following;

• Weed spraying

• Site clearance – Weedeating, brush cutting, & removal
of noxious weeds

• Excavations & material back-fill

• Planting a variety of plants, reeds, shrubs, trees etc.

• Timber edging, & basic form work

• The use of a wide array of hand tools & powered tools,
plus working with & around heavy machinery

• Managing your own sites and team, ensuring the following;

• Daily planning and set-up, ensuring your team are well
informed & on task

• Health & Safety processes are being followed by all

• Sites are being run well & in an efficient manor

• Being the go-to person for clients and resolving on-site
issues, this includes assisting your Project Manager with;

• Keeping clients informed of our progress and day to day
intentions on site

• Following site specific rules & protocols

• Producing accurate site measures & reporting to help
with monthly billing & estimating variations
