We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Technician with 6+ years of tractor-trailer maintenance experience who brings technical know-how, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality repairs.

📍 Location: Converse, Texas

📅 Shift Days: Monday through Friday

⏰ Shift Hours: Day Shift

💰 Pay: $37.43 to 42.95 per hour, depending on skills and experience

🛠️ PUT YOUR EXPERIENCE TO WORK

Working under the direction of a Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll help diagnose, repair, and remove or replace major truck and trailer components. Bring the skills to handle the following with little or no supervision:

• ⚙️ Clutches & PTO Systems — Diagnose issues and complete repairs or component replacements.
• ⚡ Electrical Systems, Instruments & Gauges — Troubleshoot problems and restore proper operation.
• 🚛 Hydraulic & Air Brake Systems — Identify concerns and perform quality repairs.
• 🌡️ Heating & Air Conditioning Systems — Diagnose and repair system malfunctions.
• 🔧 Preventive Maintenance — Complete services that help keep equipment ready for the road.

Quality and efficiency matter. You’ll be expected to complete dependable repairs within established time standards.

🎯 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE SHOP

• ✅ 6+ years of practical tractor-trailer maintenance experience required.
• 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 🛠️ Vocational/Technical Certification OR equivalent, verifiable hands-on experience required.
• 🔧 Proficiency using shop tools required.
• 🪪 Valid driver’s license required.
• 🚛 Current CDL with air brake certification preferred; willingness to obtain a CDL if you do not already have one.
• 🧮 Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• 📚 A positive attitude and willingness to grow, including participation in required, self-managed online training throughout your employment with TCI.

🌟 Additional qualifications that stand out: Specialized training in vehicle component repair and replacement, along with basic computer skills for entering information into maintenance systems, are preferred.
