Position Responsibilities:
Performs activities to ensure aircraft availability through application of maintenance procedures, practices and data
Performs analyses and applies aircraft and regulatory knowledge to support the determination of requirements for maintenance, inspection, repair and modification of aircraft
Oversees the verification of modification, repair and flight release; reviews aircraft airworthiness and audits contractor's regulatory certification
Schedules maintenance and test activities and assures aircraft configuration
Prepares, maintains, and coordinates approval of aircraft maintenance inspection plans and airworthiness certification for operational aircraft
Reviews aircraft return to service documents and documents maintenance and support concepts
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
3+ years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment supporting configuration management and release for flight
3+ years of experience in production, maintenance planning, and/or testing of commercial or military aircraft sub-systems and components including flight controls, landing gear, fuels, fire detection, propulsion (engine and APU), environmental controls, and avionics
3+ years of experience as a maintenance planner and/or scheduler
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with military aircraft, systems, and operations
Experience interfacing with senior level military customers
Knowledge of the OPNAV 4790.2 (Series)
Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management course (D or E-555-0040)
