BGS Commercial Modifications Engineering is seeking proactive and results-driven Engineering Business Operations Specialist (Experienced) in Long Beach, California to support our Commercial Engineering and leadership teams.

The Commercial Engineering and leadership team fosters a collaborative culture that values initiative, clarity, and measurable outcomes. In this role you will streamline daily operations, create polished executive presentations, and drive high‑impact business initiatives that support engineering excellence across modification programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Track, analyze, and report operational metrics and KPIs to inform leadership decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and deliver concise, data‑driven presentations, decision packages, and reports for leadership forums
  • Perform data analysis and prepare management briefings summarizing findings and recommended actions
  • Provide cross‑functional business operational support to ensure timely, effective execution of initiatives
  • Integrate program engineering management activities with business operations to align priorities and improve outcomes
  • Work on‑site 5 days per week and perform duties under general direction; may support other programs or tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to gather, format, and manipulate data using mathematical, accounting and organizational functions/formulas/macros within the tool for the purpose of performing both business related and technical analyses
  • 5+ years of experience with dashboards, reports, and KPIs
  • 5+ years of experience in preparing and delivering a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to leadership or a customer group
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and/or developing Operational / Productivity metrics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting engineering or technical organizations in operations, program support, or business‑analysis roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create executive‑level presentations and synthesize complex information for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects, influence without authority, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with experience translating performance metrics into actionable recommendations
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities and ambiguous situations

Pay Range: $90,950 - $123,050
