
The Electrical Designer performs work under the guidance of electrical engineers and senior electrical designers to document electrical designs for projects based on supplied markup drawings, reference documents, and general product knowledge. This work is completed utilizing AutoCAD Electric and other support software.
Salary: $90K-$125K depending on experience
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or CAD Design with at least 4 years of applicable electrical design adn troubleshooting experience;
Ability to read, interpret, electrical drawings and technical specifications, can understand basic electrical circuit diagrams, schematics, electrical blueprints and drawings. Can utilize reference tables to determine the definition of basic electrical symbols and design callouts. Can read, and understand production reports related to quality, and quantity. Must be able to write NCR’s and comply with safety rules. Must be able to establish productive and effective communication ties and relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and staff.
Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as electrical load ratios, building capacity, design dimensions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and mechanical/electrical voltage calculations as will as multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.
