Love working with dogs but looking for something different from traditional grooming? At Scenthound, we focus on keeping dogs clean, comfortable, and healthy through routine hygiene and wellness care.

We're looking for a dependable, motivated Dog Groomer / Trimmer who takes pride in their work, prioritizes pet safety, and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

Whether you're an experienced groomer or still developing your trimming skills, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and deliver consistent, quality services.

What You'll Do

• Perform safe, efficient, and consistent dog haircuts and trims following Scenthound's grooming standards.
• Provide bathing, drying, brushing, deshedding, and other routine hygiene services as needed.
• Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and coat types.
• Recognize signs of stress, discomfort, or abnormalities and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Follow Scenthound's safety, sanitation, and animal-handling procedures.
• Clean and disinfect grooming tables, tools, kennels, and workstations between pets.
• Maintain your equipment and help keep shared work areas clean and organized.
• Support Scent Techs and other team members during busy periods.
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality and never compromising pet safety.
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development.

What We're Looking For

• Previous dog grooming or trimming experience preferred.
• Comfortable using clippers, shears, and standard grooming equipment.
• Ability to perform or develop proficiency in consistent, functional haircuts.
• Understanding of canine behavior and safe handling techniques.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a productive workflow.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to accept feedback and improve.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to assist with bathing, cleaning, and other responsibilities as needed.
• Availability to work Saturdays and a flexible schedule during operating hours.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of grooming, including standing for extended periods and safely handling dogs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay of $15/hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills, plus eligible tips.
