This role will allow you to grow and develop within WSP’s Bridges, Aviation and Roads team, where you’ll work alongside talented professionals on iconic projects that drive future-ready solutions benefiting both clients and communities.

What You’ll Do

Join our dynamic Queensland team as a Civil Drafter or Senior Civil Drafter and contribute to a variety of exciting civil and infrastructure projects. You will:

  • Prepare, manage, and issue drawings for complex engineering projects.

  • Check drawing sets for complex engineering projects.

  • Liaise with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.

  • Plan and manage own work and others to meet deadlines and budgets.

  • Mentor individuals within drafting team.

  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and learning opportunities including a focus on emerging technologies and Digital Engineering.

  • Assist in the development of new and existing engineering software, tools and best practice procedures.

This role is based at our Brisbane office. Full- or part-time options are available.

About You

  • Experienced Civil Technician (Drafter): at least 4 years of relevant experience

  • Associate Degree of Civil Engineering qualification, or similar.

  • TMR Roads and Highways experience.

  • Proficient operator of AutoCAD.

  • Working knowledge of ProjectWise is preferable.

  • Works well in a busy and at times pressured environment.

  • Excellent communication skills - including written and spoken.

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
