Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Your role

A career within our delivery center offers you the unique opportunity to support a diverse range of multinational clients by ensuringaccuracyand efficiencytomeet their obligations under a complex new global tax regime. TheOrganisationfor Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Pillar 2 Two Global Minimum Tax (GMT) regime will be adopted by more than 140 countries including Malaysia which will be implementing the GMT as well as the qualified domestic minimum top-up tax in 2025.Our delivery center is pivotal in helping clients navigate and meet their needs in a dynamic business environment. We provide services that streamline operations,optimizeperformance, and improve client satisfaction.

As a Senior Associate/AssociateSpecialist, you will be pivotal to executing large-scale delivery projects that require attention to detail and collaboration. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and execute logistics for client deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of task.

  • Use ERP systems to track and report on delivery statuses, identifying any discrepancies.

  • Provide support for operational workflow processes and assist in implementing improvements as needed.

  • Utilize software and tech-enable automation solutions to deliver task efficiently and effectively.

  • Develop self-awareness and address personal development areas through feedback.

  • Apply critical thinking to organize tasks efficiently and resolve minor logistical issues.

  • Conduct quality checks on delivery documentation and address any issues found.

  • Utilize appropriate tools for specific tasks.

  • Engage in opportunities that broaden your experience within different logistics environments.

  • Communicate clearly and directly with team members to maintain smooth operations.

  • Adapt behavior to build effective working relationships within the team.

  • Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Accounting or related field and/or professional qualification.

  • At least 1-3 year(s) of work experience within corporate tax compliance or audit. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

  • Pillar Two GMT knowledge/experience, though not required, will be an added advantage.

  • Skills in Microsoft Office

  • An understanding of IFRS and/or MFRS rules will be an added advantage.

  • A good grounding in corporate tax matters computations and willing to take on new and challenging work.

  • Strong academic background.

  • Commitment to enhancing technical and other knowledge and skills.

  • Risk awareness.

  • Excellent team-working skills.

  • Good English communication and writing skills.

  • Self-motivation.

  • Good organizational and people skills.
