As an Experienced Associate in Actuarial at PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur, you will engage with clients to provide actuarial and insurance services, offering insights on solvency, economic capital, risk management, and more. Within our Assurance practice, you will contribute to enhancing clients' internal controls and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to projects, developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge.

In this role at PwC, you will support large P&C clients and cross-industry clients by building and maintaining product rating plans, supporting product refresh efforts, and contributing to reserving-related workstreams. You will also participate in consulting projects, support audits, and engage in merger and acquisition activities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams, develop your analytical skills, and contribute to a positive team culture. You will be expected to demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving, and teamwork dynamics, while identifying opportunities for workflow improvement.

Responsibilities

- Building and maintaining product rating plans using a proprietary rating configuration tool, including configuring factors and validating logic for production readiness
- Supporting product refresh and model-building efforts across personal lines such as home, auto, motorcycle, and boat
- Contributing to reserving-related workstreams, including data preparation, reserve roll-forward analyses, and adequacy checks
- Assisting in audits of major insurers, including public, private, and mutual insurers across various industries
- Performing consulting projects that involve financial reporting, capital reporting, and product pricing
- Supporting merger and acquisition activities by analyzing underlying products and services and assessing potential risks
- Participating in insurance product and pricing projects, collaborating across multiple teams to deliver timely outputs
- Using internal rating tools to build, update, and validate rating plan components, confirming accuracy and compliance with project standards
- Demonstrating strong insurance business analysis skills and understanding of rating structures and pricing logic
- Identifying opportunities for workflow improvement and supporting change-order activities when additional workstreams are required
- Preparing analyses, documentation, and reports for internal and client stakeholders
- Providing clients with advice in process improvement, risk and capital management, and actuarial modeling
- Demonstrating teamwork dynamics and flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Economics, Other related fields of study
- At least 1 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
