
About the role:
We are looking for a 3d Artist with a broad skillset who can take on a wide variety of tasks related to 3d content and environments. You will be creating a wide range of environments, 3d assets, textures, and materials (terrain, buildings, vehicles, props), work with implementation and scripting of assets according to established art vision and technical requirements. You will also take part in visual development and be expected to learn new tools and techniques based on our workflows as well as being able to communicate your own feedback regarding our internal tools and their development.
We greatly value good communication and cross-discipline collaboration and since you will be a part of a small team of talented artists we expect ownership not only over your own tasks but the process as a whole.
You will articulate and contextualize your decisions and communicate your ideas in English, as it is our company language.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience creating environments, 3D models and textures in the games industry
Strong portfolio demonstrating experienced level 3D art skills and creativity
Expert knowledge in Blender or Maya, Substance Designer and Substance Painter
Strong skills in Zbrush and Photoshop.
A solid understanding of 3D art fundamentals: Composition, Lighting, Material Expression, Color Use, etc.
Knowledge of World Creator, World Machine or similar terrain generation software
Knowledge of technical constraints, optimization and implementation
Ability to properly research and work independently in absence of concept art
Excellent communication skills (English, spoken and written)
Desirable:
Technical art knowledge (scripting or rigging)
Experience working with outsourcing partners.
Experience with working with a wide range of tools and technologies.
The right candidate is passionate about Paradox grand strategy games and has an interest in stories centered around fiction (alternate history, science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, post-apocalyptic, and others).
