The Opportunity:
The Experience Designer will anchor the design and delivery of immersive, innovation-driven learning experiences for diverse audience groups. It combines ecosystem engagement, facilitation of curated on-site learning journeys, and the design of hackathons and changemaking pathways that enable young people to act on real-world challenges in their communities. This is a design-forward, facilitation-intensive role requiring strong program ownership, learner-centered thinking, and the ability to translate creative intent into structured, high-quality execution.
Role Mandate:
The Experience Designer will design and run curated learning experiences round the year for diverse audiences that Quest works with. The Experience Designer would also be anchoring the annual hackathons and innovation platforms for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curated Learning Experiences for school students
Design and facilitate immersive, hands-on learning journeys for school students visiting QA.
Curate thematic experiences that integrate play, inquiry, STEM exploration, and systems thinking.
Develop facilitator guides, student toolkits, and experience flows to ensure high-quality engagement.
Build educator orientation modules to help teachers extend QA learning into classrooms.
Capture insights, reflections, and artefacts emerging from student participation.
2. Hackathons & Social Innovation Design
Conceptualise and execute hackathons, ideathons, and community challenge platforms.
Design structured innovation pathways—from problem identification to prototyping and showcasing.
Create rubrics, mentoring frameworks, and prototype documentation systems.
Build pathways for students to continue their projects through bootcamps, exhibitions, or community pilots.
Foster youth agency by enabling students to identify and respond to real challenges in their local ecosystems.
3. P&L Accountability:
Work closely with the Outreach team to plan, budget, execute, and reflect iteratively on developing productised experiences.
Analyse implementation and learner feedback to generate actionable insights for product refinement and strategic decisions.
Ensure timely availability of data and narrative-related inputs for donor reports, reviews, and internal planning.
4. Systems, Processes, & Self-Learning
Ensure adherence to Quest Alliance systems, policies, and processes (HR, Finance, IT, etc.).
Undertake regular field visits to stay connected with on-ground realities and emerging needs.
Identify personal learning goals and practice continuous learning, individually, within the team, and cross-functional.
Strong working knowledge of hardware-software integration (IoT, sensors, microcontrollers preferred).
Intermediate proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Blockly, or Scratch.
Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Strong documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams with ownership and clarity.
Self-driven, proactive, and open to feedback with a growth mindset.

Salary:
The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 50,000/- per month (cost to company)
