To deliver complex digital experiences across Navy Federal's Online, Mobile, and MSR-facing platforms by translating member, business, and stakeholder needs into clear product requirements and prioritized backlog work. Works independently within the team on the most complex product initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert. Collaborates cross-functionally to define scope, align priorities, support Agile delivery, validate outcomes, and deliver valuable, usable experiences for members and employees.

  • Gather, analyze, develop, prioritize, and maintain complex user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements that capture member and stakeholder needs.
  • 4 years of Product Owner Experience.
  • Serve as the Product Owner for assigned products and initiatives, accountable for backlog management, requirement definition, stakeholder alignment, and prioritization decisions.
  • Conducts complex analysis and synthesizes internal and external insights and marketplace trends; focus on creating value for members.
  • Research, identify and analyze the needs and experiences of our members, and users of NFCU financial products.
  • Perform complex and advanced market analysis across the financial landscape including emerging trends in member needs to identify challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members, key partners, business units across the credit union, and other product teams to define product direction, align priorities, and support delivery of the journey vision.
  • Conduct and facilitate User Acceptance Testing by validating business outcomes, acceptance criteria, and the Definition of Done.
  • Proactively sizes business opportunities and potential improvements.
  • Lead product team decision-making related to requirements, priorities, scope, and delivery trade-offs using member insights, analytics, and business objectives.
  • Communicate and present findings to stakeholders and the broader organization to support alignment, clarity, and effective product delivery.
  • Package strategic and analytical insights into clear, concise and "executive-ready" presentations.
  • Serve as an agent of change, looking for new ways to solve membership problems and collaborate as a team.
  • Know the key metrics to be measured and how to measure them.
  • Produce data-driven analysis to substantiate hypotheses.
  • Conduct competitive reviews and benchmarking.
  • Assist management with integrating usability studies, user research, and market analysis to into product requirements.
  • Analyze product usage and other empirical data to understand member needs, manage backlog priorities, and inform product decisions for complex work.
  • As the Product Owner within the cross-functional team, apply Agile/Lean principles to manage and prioritize the product backlog, support sprint planning and refinement activities, and continuously improve the product and product team.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics, user experience design and business impact.
  • Business acumen with demonstrated ability to leverage expertise with credibility and impact.
  • Significant experience in analyzing user experience and cost, to size impact and opportunities.
  • Strong multi-tasking and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies/principles, including backlog refinement, user story development, sprint planning, and iterative product delivery.
  • Experience working in an Agile product team environment, partnering with delivery teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
  • Continuous learning with respect to current trends, practices, regulations, and technology in the financial services industry.
  • Expert analytical and research skills along with experience working with data in a highly analytic environment.
  • Advanced skill delivering effective presentations to groups of various sizes.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Maintain skills up to date with industry standards.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Strategy or other related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit union operations/processes and procedures.

  • Experience Analyst: $96,900 - $141,600 annually
  • Senior Experience Analyst: $78,400 - $123,200 annually
