The Role

As An Expeditor I with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • As a buyer/expeditor, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the organization. You will work closely with suppliers, evaluate product quality and pricing, and ensure timely delivery to meet the company's needs.
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) to potential suppliers.
  • Follow-up with bidders for bid acknowledgment, expediting for timely submission of bids, resolving bidder queries, technical deviation requests, etc. if any
  • Support in supplier performance assessmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Projects
  • Utilize procurement software and systems to streamline procurement processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies, regulations
  • Updating and Maintaining Purchase Control Sheet
  • Prepare and Organize Kick-Off Meeting for equipment’s and bulks
  • Establishing Initial Contact through email, organizing Kick-Off Meetings to discuss critical documents as per Vendor document delivery schedule (VDDS), critical sub-ordering, and Order Execution plan.
  • Regular follow-up with supplier for documentation and material status.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Expediting with internal team for approval of critical documents.
  • Co-ordination between supplier and technical team wherever required.
  • Track procurement and manufacturing activities are as per schedule.
  • Creating and Maintaining Material Status Reports (MSR) for all orders.
  • Attending Weekly / Monthly meeting and record discussions
  • Material Tracking and Furnish required support till delivery of the Material.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of equipment/items required in Petrochemical industries.
  • Understanding of Contractual Terms and Conditions.
  • Analytical skills
  • Communication skills
  • Relationship management
  • Problem-solving abilityProficiency in relevant software and tools
  • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Civil) or Diploma Holder with extensive experience along with specialization in Procurement Department in Petrochemical / Energy Sector.
  • 05 to 07 years’ experience in procurement, or supply chain management within the oil and gas industry, Chemical industry preferably in a consulting or project-based environment.
