The Expeditor role ensures aircraft parts and materials are available and ready as needed for Horizon Air. This includes material planning and resolving issues that arise. As an individual contributor, this role makes decisions to support all Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) requirement processes, including out of service and heavy maintenance aircraft.

Key Duties

  • Solve aircraft parts and materials issues for Horizon Air.
  • Coordinate parts & tooling activities to support all maintenance activities. This coordination involves direct communication with many internal departments including Maintenance Control, Purchasing, Rotables, Planning, Maintenance Shops, etc., as well as external vendors.
  • Perform research in TRAX (Horizon’s aircraft maintenance and material tracking system) to determine part status (e.g. quantities on order, PO/RO numbers, vendor due dates, etc.) to ensure they meet the required demand dates.
  • Source and procure tooling and materials to support the operational schedule with each decision considering location, availability, cost, method, and speed of execution with overall financial performance as a factor.
  • Source and procure aircraft materials for all external maintenance activities as required.
  • Review material daily requirements for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and ensure all materials and tooling are available for use at the specified location on the planned date.
  • Perform receiving inspections on all aircraft components brought into the warehousing and supply system, ensuring that all components and paperwork meet the standards set by the GPM, RIM and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and support for maintenance staff and vendors as directed.
  • Generate, review, and take action on various M&E reports.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 1 year of experience in warehouse, parts or materials experience or related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional 2 years of warehouse, parts or materials experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Strong diplomacy and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Unwavering attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Work various shifts as assigned.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, reach, grasp, climb stairs/ladders safely and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Obtain and maintain airport security clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements
