The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.

The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an Expeditor, you play an integral role in meeting production schedules. You'll coordinate, route, and expedite materials to address shortages. Your expertise extends to proper routing of incoming materials and monitoring the flow of materials between departments to meet scheduled commitments. Your contribution ensures smooth material handling, supporting Lam's commitment to operational excellence.

The Production Control Floor Support (PCFS) team is Manufacturing’s front line for addressing/resolving material shortages on the manufacturing floor regarding concerns related to production orders, material flow, and manufacturing/management escalations. The team monitors inventory levels while regularly providing status updates to internal customers and facilitating the timely delivery of needed material to minimize delays and meet production goals. The team must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and have the flexibility to manage a wide range of activities.

What you’ll do

Manage material availability and shortage mitigation activities supporting Manufacturing and Pilot operations.

Analyze shortages, determine mitigation strategies, and coordinate resolutions through cross-functional teams.

Process and manage inventory transactions including stock movements, blocking/unblocking material, and outgoing material verification.

Support operation releases, material escalations, and work-in-progress (WIP) issue resolution.

Review and approve material transfer requests while identifying and mitigating no-stock risks.

Coordinate spare part requests, material transfers, and other logistics activities to ensure production continuity.

Monitor material priorities and demand requirements, making recommendations to support manufacturing schedules.

Escalate supply chain, inventory, and production constraints as needed to minimize operational impact.

Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer support.

Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned with Lam's core values while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience.

Self-motivated professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze shortages, assess risk, and develop practical solutions.

Effective communicator who can collaborate with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, and Operations.

Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.

Team player who actively seeks feedback, shares knowledge, and supports the success of others.

Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive small to moderate process enhancements.

Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing business priorities and operational demands.

Safety-minded individual committed to following established procedures and promoting a safe work environment.

Cross-functional experience and the ability to quickly learn and support multiple operational areas preferred.

Preferred qualifications

2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, production control, logistics, inventory management, or a related operational environment.

Experience in the semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or capital equipment industry.

Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience preferred).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Experience analyzing material shortages, inventory issues, and production constraints.

Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and operational problem solving.

Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.

Ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Experience training, mentoring, or providing guidance to peers.

Cross-functional experience supporting multiple operational or manufacturing disciplines.
