
SCOPE OF WORK: The Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Program Coordinator coordinates EFDA course offerings, ensuring alignment with NH Dental Certification Regulations and national standards, with responsibility for curriculum development, class preparation, attendee management, providing clinical and didactic instruction. And collaborating with Workforce Education on scheduling, supplies, and certification processes. This position shall report to the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education at NHTI, Concord’s Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent credential and training in dental technology, dental assisting, or related discipline. Associate’s degree in dental assisting or dental hygiene desired.
Experience: Four years’ experience as a dental assistant, or as an instructor within the discipline of dental technology or dental assisting.
License/Certification: Dental Assistant and EFDA certification required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with the learning management systems (e.g. CANVAS) and experience in developing both clinical and didactic educational programs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with instructors and Workforce Education staff to deliver high-quality instruction.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of state and national dental certification regulations and best practices. Ability to manage and update EFDA curricula to reflect current industry trends. Strong organizational skills for managing attendee tracking, certification approvals, and course preparation. Competence in both face-to-face and online instruction, including the setup of online learning components. Ability to exercise sound judgment in the performance of job duties. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to perform duties in keeping with professional standards and established deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to conduct presentations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance appropriate to assigned duties.
