via a team of expert Surgeons, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Nurses, Exercise Scientists, Medico-Legal Advisors and an all-inclusive Clerical Medical Support Team. We currently have casual vacancies available for an Exercise Scientist at our Rockingham and Belmont clinics. As an Exercise Scientist at RediMed, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive occupational health services, primarily focusing on pre-employment medical assessments and health screenings. Your expertise in exercise science and health will be essential in ensuring clients meet the physical and functional requirements for their roles while supporting workplace safety initiatives.

A ‘Day or Week in the Life’ of a RediMed Exercise Scientist may include:

  • Health Screenings: Perform pre-employment medicals, including collecting and analyzing relevant health data such as medical history, audiometry, spirometry, cardiovascular fitness, functional and manual handling testing.
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing: Administer drug and alcohol screenings in compliance with relevant legislation and workplace policies, ensuring accurate and confidential reporting.
  • Reporting Prepare detailed assessment reports, providing insights and recommendations to employers to support hiring decisions and workplace safety programs.

What is Required:

  • ESSA membership
  • A tertiary qualification in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology
  • Current National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Audiometry testing (desirable)
  • Drug and alcohol screening (desirable)
  • Spirometry training (desirable)
