
Exercise Physiologist (Cooper Green) - (CGM0000Y)
GENERAL SUMMARY The Exercise Physiologist serves as a member of the outpatient rehabilitation and wellness team, providing evidence-based exercise programming and education to support patients transitioning from rehabilitation to independent physical activity and long-term health management. This position collaborates with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, physicians, dietitians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to improve functional outcomes, physical fitness, chronic disease management, and overall quality of life. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Collaborates with other medical professionals to coordinate patient care.· Customizes individual exercise programs for patients. Monitors the programs to ensure patient safety, effectiveness and compliance with all regulatory agencies.· Assesses patients by reviewing medical records/history to properly administer the correct exercise program.· Consults with patients to determine their exercise goals and objectives. Monitors progress and provides feedback/coaching as needed.· Demonstrates exercises to patients to ensure proper form, technique and safety.· Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field and at least one (1) year of experience.· Current ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C), ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), or equivalent nationally recognized certification.· CPR/BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.· Work experience may NOT substitute for education or certification requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.Requires, walking, lifting, reaching, standing, bending, crouching, or stooping.The work location for this role is onsite.PAY RANGE$19.80-$32.17
