JOB PURPOSE
Lead, plan and manage the tasks for Project, Property and Civil Engineering (PPCE) by executing civil and structure based property & asset management, supervising space management, managing building operations and maintenance, and executing HSE, risk and process management in order to achieve the stipulated objectives and targets while fulfilling the needs of the community and in compliance to legal requirements and industry best practices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Property & Asset Management
Lead and plan property & asset management in UTP & CAPE (KL) by proposing the masterplans for facility utilization such as guesthouses and business outlets, implementing the property booking and asset reservation system and proposing procedures for maintenance with respect to civil and structure that are effective and efficient to meet the stipulated objectives and targets inclusive of reliable services which supports the needs of the community and facilitates the creation of value at the university.
Space & Energy Management
Lead and plan space & energy management by proposing and implementing masterplans and procedures that ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of space to meet the stipulated objectives and targets inclusive of reliable services which supports the needs of the community and facilitates the creation of value at the university.
Operations and Maintenance
Execute and monitor operations and maintenance by supervising contractors engaged for building cleaning, domestic waste disposal and casual labour services and preparing quarterly report on the performance of the said contractors to ensure effective contractor management and to meet the stipulated objectives and targets while in compliance to all legal requirements and industry best practices.
HSE, Risk and Process Management
Execute implementation of the standards for HSE and risk management related to plant, property, asset, construction, transportation and project management by enforcing, executing and utilising the relevant tools and processes such as PSM (Process Safety Management), JSP (Job Safety Analysis) and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to ensure adherence to all legal requirements and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field (Civil Engineering, Facility Management)
More than 5 years of experience in relevant field
Professional qualification and advanced degree would be an added advantage
Fair written and verbal communication skills
