Your New Role...
We are seeking an experienced Standards & Practices professional to perform content review and classification of WBD’s content for APAC. This role is critical in ensuring that local and regional regulatory requirements and WBD’s content compliance policies are applied through review of WBD content across all linear and VOD platforms.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Content Review and Classification - 60%
Across all WBD brands, ensure all Original and Acquired content is reviewed, meets local broadcast guidelines, and is appropriately classified.
S&P/ content compliance review - perform full length content reviews, complete content compliance notes against relevant compliance standards and update consumer ratings and advisories.
Flag any content that may need to be banned/edited for specific feeds/territories and highlight any potential S&P issues as required.
Liaise with content edit team and vendors on a regular basis to ensure standards are maintained throughout the region.
Keep abreast of any local compliance issues/regulatory changes across APAC and political events that may impact APAC.
Admin and Communication - 30%
Prepare and file compliance reports, track progress, input and maintain information in various systems and documents.
Communicate and interact with Operations colleagues, Programmers and Legal Team as necessary to determine and execute operational requirements.
Liaise with vendors on delivery and technical issues with provided material.
Liaise and work closely with regional affiliates to facilitate S&P requirements for all managed channels.
Workflow & Efficiency - 10%
Strive for continuous improvement of Compliance workflows.
Ensure accurate entry of Compliance information of all classification and ban information.
Responsible for maintaining agreed turnaround times on viewing of all content and ensuring content is completed in line with broadcast priorities.
Work with colleagues to identify workable solutions as new requirements arise.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a broadcast facility with Standards & Practices related duties.
Strong knowledge of APAC compliance guidelines and requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Good communication skills in managing expectations and deliverables with internal and external parties.
Good analytical skills and decision-making process pertaining to Standards & Practices/Content Compliance.
Fluent in another language e.g. Mandarin, Tamil, Hindi, Thai, Bahasa Melayu/ Indonesia, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, French.
Diploma/degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast, Media, Communications or equivalent.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Management systems.
Experience in editing using Adobe Premiere Pro or any other editing systems.
Knowledge of broadcast operations and multi-media files format/standard.
Knowledge and passion for WBD original content- HBO, Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, Discovery.
