Job Description

The opportunity: Executive Sponsor, Private Banking Nordics

Being part of HSBC in Sweden, you’ll help evolve and grow our business.

HSBC Private Banking is looking for an Executive Sponsor to build and grow profitable, long-term relationships with priority HSBC clients resident in Scandinavia, with a focus on Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and Single Family Offices (SFOs).

This is a market-facing role for someone who’s already deeply embedded in Scandinavian business circles and can use that network to originate substantial New-to-Bank (NTB) opportunities. You’ll engage decision-makers, understand complex multi-dimensional needs, and bring together HSBC’s full capabilities to deliver innovative, high-value solutions across the Group.

What you will do:

In this role you will:

• Socialise within local and regional business networks to identify, connect and make further referrals to the Private Bank
• Provide a generic reference to the local and international capabilities housed at HSBC (i.e. the basic spectrum of Lines of Business, including the Private Bank (PB) and international connectivity)
• Work with local and regional HBCE corporate banking teams, jointly review portfolios and identify banking needs for UHNWI business owners and executives, connecting them with the Private Bank
• Further organise PB (also joint with Corporate Banking) marketing and networking events, aiming to brand and best represent HSBC capabilities within local and regional business communities
• Support Private Bank RMs in keeping contacts and holding strategic development discussions with their local clients, following documented client consent and within permissible cross-border parameters

You should apply if you have:

• Demonstrated experience in relationship management and or senior management experience in the private / investment banking sector or wider financial services sector with significant experience in originating and serving Scandinavian based UHNW families and Family Offices.
• Proven track record in asset gathering/growth and revenue generation
• Strong commercial acumen and C-level negotiation capability
• Excellent client-facing communication, listening and problem-solving skills; able to operate as a trusted adviser
• Sound financial, investment and product knowledge across international banking solutions (beyond standard PB products)
• Solid understanding of wealth structuring and succession planning, including legal and tax implications
• Established Scandinavian network with ability to generate significant New-to-Bank business and leverage Group capabilities
• Project-leadership mindset: mobilise specialists, coordinate delivery, and manage internal stakeholders effectively
• Fluency in English; other languages relevant to the market(s) served would be an asset; German and/or French a plus

Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply, if you believe this role is right for you.

What you’ll get in return:

The pay range for this role is 1,157,300 SEK – 1,735,900 SEK
