About the role

As Centre Director, you will lead daily operations, educational quality, and team development across the service. You will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with families and staff.

Duties

• Lead, mentor and support educators and operational staff to deliver high-quality practice
• Oversee daily centre operations, ensuring compliance with EYLF, NQS and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous quality improvement, monitoring performance and implementing service enhancements
• Manage budgets, occupancy targets and resource allocation to ensure sustainability
• Build strong relationships with families, staff and community stakeholders to support enrolments and engagement
• Analyse service performance data and implement strategies to improve outcomes and efficiency
• Oversee staffing, rostering and workforce planning to ensure effective ratios and operational coverage
• Ensure policies, procedures and risk management practices are consistently implemented and maintained

Skills & experience

• Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
• Strong leadership experience in ECEC settings
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication and team leadership skill with the ability to lead, mentor, inspire and motivate a team
• Valid Working With Children Check
• Experience using Xplor or similar childcare management systems
• Experience managing Victorian ECEC funding streams, including Kinder Funding, KIS funding, ACCS, and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) administration
