Position Name: Executive Security (Duty Shift Security In charge - DSSI)
Location: East-Wharf Keamari Port, Karachi (On-Site)
Educational and Technical Qualifications
- Min. 14 years of Education in the relevant field
- Physical & Mental Fitness as per QHSE required standards i.e., hand/eye/foot coordination / visual/auditory requirements etc.
- Available to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Years of Experience Min. 02 years' experience in related field.
Nature of Experience
- Experience includes handling confidential information with discretion, interpreting and communicating technical content effectively, and possessing knowledge of port operations and shipping line terminologies.
Technical Competencies required for the role
- Must be able to work in or outside the offices.
- Must be able to deliver the required output under the work stress level.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities:
- To assist supervisor in all matters of security department.
- Ensure safe custody of all office related equipment in use in the Security and Gate pass offices and other items within the premises and submit any observation/suggestion for overall improvement of the organization.
- Prepare Duty Rosters, monitor departmental as well as field staff as & where required.
- Responsible for obtaining NOC/Clearance from DNI/Dock Security for KGTL Staff to board on every ship having Indian Crews.
- Maintain close liaison with field staff of different govt. departments.
- Dealing with transporters regarding incident/accident in terminal.
- Develop cooperation & harmony with all other departments of KGTL.
- Responsible to coordinate all actions pertaining to the conduct of ISPS quarterly exercise.
- Responsible to inform specified agencies listed in the PSFP about the development of exercise.
- Maintain attendance/overtime /leave record of security supervisor/guards.
- Ensure safe custody of KGTL documents/files in the shape of both hard/soft copies.
- To prepare Summary Reports on related work.
- Active coordination with the vendor to meet routine/special requirements of security force.
- Coordinate in the maintenance/repair work of office equipment i.e., computer system VHF sets, photocopier, vehicles etc. with the concerned departments (Procurement and IT Dept. etc.).
- Inspection of all supporting documents prior putting up a request of permission to Manager, by any visitor/stakeholder etc.
- To keep update and maintain all database related to Passes in the application software of Security department.
- To maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and consumers/stake holders/visitors.
- To perform any job-related duty as assigned by superior.
- To ensure safe working conditions and practices are adhered at related areas.
- To understand, and ensure the implementation of IMS policy, and fire & emergency procedures.
- To wear appropriate personnel protective equipment (PPE) within the operational areas.
People Management Responsibilities:
- TBT and training of Field Security Staff.
- Ensure effective administration and discipline for self and team, including adherence to break schedules, attendance, overtime, leave policies, and dress code standards, where applicable.
- Monitor and manage the achievement of individual and team Performance, ensuring accountability and consistent performance where applicable.
- Ensure continuous training and development opportunities for self and direct reports; mentor and assist junior staff as needed.
- Ensure Quality, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance.
- Promote & maintain a culture of self and team motivation, engagement, and happiness.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead of the concerned area in decision making by providing relevant information, data, and Inputs
