Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking an Executive Sales Engineer to join our team. This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT, and will focus on Power Distribution Solutions throughout Utah and Southeast Idaho. This exciting opportunity provides responsibility for managing and coordinating sales efforts across an assigned customer and distributor base while driving executive-level customer engagement and complex technical opportunities. The role focuses on electrical products within the commercial and industrial markets and includes leadership of long-term account strategy and market growth.
The Executive Sales Engineer has responsibility to achieve an assigned sales quota consistent with expectations of a seasoned professional sales engineer. This position has the primary responsibility to manage and coordinate the sales effort within the customer/distributor base assigned. Capturing this business requires executive-level customer engagement, leadership of complex technical opportunities, coordination across Eaton businesses, and long-term account strategy.
The Executive Sales Engineer will sell assigned product lines to targeted customers in a targeted Market Area. Extensive knowledge of the Market area is a must for this opportunity. The position’s primary objective is to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin. Specific functions include: Drive increase in sales in the marketplace. Manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance with distributors, customers, end users, and specifiers. Develop a proven record of achieving assigned sales quota. Develop and implement sales plans and be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities. Communicate such information to product divisions. Maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with other company employees to assure customer satisfaction. Support leadership in shaping talent strategy and strengthening senior technical and commercial leadership across the team, while advancing mentorship, knowledge sharing, and succession planning. Manage expense allowances and submit expense reports in a timely manner.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and sales incentive. This position has a total compensation range of $143,000 - $210,600.
