We are now hiring an Executive Researcher to own the research engine behind every search.
• Work across 30+ B2B software companies at C-level - breadth and exposure no single-company or agency research role can match
• Own the research engine, not just the searches - sourcing tools, the executive-search ATS, talent-graph data operations, and the agent workflows on top
• Work agent-first from day one: build the workflows others will use
• Join a senior team of three, growing to four - direct influence, zero bureaucracy, and a protected remit to build systems, not only deliver searches
• Be part of building Europe's leading B2B software growth investor - EUR 3.1bn AUM and a growing Nordic footprint
• Own market mapping and longlisting for C-level and board searches across the portfolio - from brief to qualified longlist in days, not weeks
• Run selection and first candidate contact - screening, outreach, and the first conversations that shape a candidate's impression of Monterro
• Own the research systems: the sourcing stack, the executive-search ATS as system of record, and the data-quality standard behind them
• Keep Monterro's proprietary map of Nordic B2B software leadership complete, current, and queryable
• Build and run agent workflows - market mapping, outreach drafts, scheduling, and pipeline reporting under human direction
• Evaluate and pilot new AI sourcing tools - keep/kill decisions grounded in benchmarks, not hype
• Support due diligence and deal teams with rapid market maps and leadership bench analysis on new investments
• Capture structured assessment, reference, and outcome data on every search - the raw material of the Monterro AI Talent Brain
• Experience in executive search research, sourcing, or talent intelligence - from a search firm, in-house team, or PE/software talent function
• Demonstrated exposure to technology, software, or SaaS - you understand the landscape and speak the language
• AI-fluent: you already source and screen with AI tools and want to build the agent workflows others will use
• Data-disciplined: you keep an ATS clean because you know proprietary data compounds
• A strong first voice: sharp written outreach and confident first conversations with senior executives
• Structured and high-throughput - able to run research for multiple concurrent searches without dropping quality
• Fluent in English plus Swedish or another Nordic language; based in Stockholm, comfortable with occasional Nordic travel
