Executive ‐ Production ‐ Operations

(Based at Katunayake)

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to help coordinate all production activities pertaining to assigned production modules in order to ensure on time delivery of products as per customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the Production process so as to ensure lines are balanced and fed, checking hourly output whilst, ensuring bottlenecks, any related issues are attended to in a timely manner.
• Conduct meetings such as Team Leader forum to inform the allocated lines of the previous day’s performance.
• Observe the production activities for assigned modules and suggest work improvement methods to Industrial Engineering.
• Monitor bundling and packing operations and ensure accurate operations as per given specifications.
• Participate in relevant meetings such as Pre-production, Operation meetings, first 10 pieces meeting, shipment meetings etc. and inform relevant personnel of issues faced such as efficiency, damages, runs, oil stains, approval of samples, trim cards.
• Approve relevant documents such as incentives, Accepted Quality Level (AQL) reports, overtime, damage replacement and maintain documents.
• Prepare and update the following reports/ records and forward to relevant personnel for perusal when needed:
  • Monthly resource plan
  • Monthly down time report with information
  such as machine inefficiencies, reasons for
  breakdowns etc.
  • Update daily line wise status report against the
  planned status and suggest an appropriate
  action plan in this regard
• Oversee administrative matters pertaining to the assigned module such as absenteeism, leave etc.
• Ensure lean concept awareness among module employees.
• Establish and maintain relationships, follow Management instructions, recommend for training and development programs and motivate staff.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Degree in Physical Science.
• 1-2 years' experience in Production in Apparel industry.
• Good at decision making.
• Strong communication skills and team working.
