Haycarb PLC, a member of the Hayleys Group, is a global leader in coconut shell-based activated carbon manufacturing. We operate in key international markets, with manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia, and marketing offices in the USA, Australia, and Europe. In Sri Lanka, our manufacturing facilities are in the Northwestern and Western Provinces.

We are seeking a proactive and resilient Executive – Production to be part of our team at the Madampe manufacturing facility. This position is well-suited for an energetic individual with practical exposure to manufacturing processes, operational optimization, and workforce supervision. The successful candidate will be instrumental in meeting production goals while upholding high standards in safety, quality, and overall plant performance.

Locations: Madampe (Manufacturing Facility)

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the HOD – Production to meet production targets and maintain the required quality standards outlined in the monthly production plan.
• Monitor and optimize production processes to enhance operational efficiency and minimize waste.
• Ensure final products consistently meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
• Supervise and motivate production staff, fostering a high-performing and efficient team environment.
• Implement safety and environmental policies to maintain a compliant and secure workplace.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations by minimizing machinery downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate production records, analyze performance data, and prepare reports for decision-making.
• Assist in the adoption and adherence to quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, GMP, and HACCP practices.
• Participate in training and upskilling programs for production personnel to align with industry best practices.

Candidate Profile:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Bio Science, Physical Science, or a Diploma in Engineering (Manufacturing/Chemical) from a recognized institution.
• A qualification in Manufacturing Management will be an added advantage.
• 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Foundational knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000), GMP, and HACCP is an added advantage.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work on shifts.
