DataModernisationwill only succeed if the platform, data products, governance, controls,toolingand operating model are designed in a way that business domains, support units, producers, consumers and central CDO teams can adopt and sustain.

As Executive Manager, Enterprise Engagement & Adoption, you will ensure DataModernisationis both designed for the enterprise and adopted by the enterprise. You will work across all DataModernisationstreams to influence what we build, how we build it, how it is sequenced, how itlandsand how it becomes the default way of working across CBA.

This role exists to ensure DataModernisationdoes not become a technology rollout. It becomes an enterprise shift in how CBA produces, governs,managesand consumes data.

Within CDO / Enterprise Data Transformation, you will bring a practical enterprise lens to decisions about platform capabilities, producer and consumer accountabilities, data product adoption, migration, controls, data literacy, tooling, operating modeldesignandbehaviouralchange.

You willrepresentthe enterprise and customer perspective from the start, ensuring the approach is practical, scalable,valuableand adoptable across business units, support units, CDOteamsand technology teams.

You will work across Platform, Data Production and Governance, Data Quality and Governance,Modernisationand Consumption, Execution and Early Adoption, and Acceleration to help the transformation land as one enterprise approach rather than a series of disconnected stream activities.

You will influence transformation design, own the enterprise engagement and adoption strategy, andmobiliseseniorstakeholdersso DataModernisationcreates alignment, commitment andbehaviourchange across the Group.

  • Represent the enterprise,businessand customer perspective in DataModernisationdecisions.
  • Influence the design of the platform, capabilities, operating model, tooling, migrationapproachand adoption pathways.
  • Challenge stream-level decisions where they are not practical, usable,scalableor aligned to enterprise outcomes.
  • Shape priorities and sequencing based on business value, enterprisereadinessand adoption impact.
  • Own and execute the enterprise engagement strategy for DataModernisation, defining engagement by audience,outcomeand decision need.
  • Coordinate engagement across DataModernisationstreamsso the enterprise receives one consistent story.
  • Own andmaintainthe enterprise narrative, translating themodernisationstrategy into clear,credibleand actionable messages for different audiences.
  • Develop executive messaging, leader packs, town hall materials, stakeholderbriefingsand engagement artefacts that equip leaders to sponsor the change with clarity and confidence.
  • Define adoption outcomes, readinessindicatorsand success measures, ensuring adoption is measured throughbehaviourchange, capability use and business uptake.
  • Identifyadoption barriers early and influence design,sequencingor intervention decisions.
  • Build leader-led adoption mechanisms, championnetworksand communities of practice.
  • Support Tess Sutherland with senior stakeholder engagement, decisionframingand escalation.
  • Create alignment across fragmented teams and competingperspectivesso engagement drives decisions,actionand sustained adoption.

We’reinterested in hearing from people who:

  • Bring strong internal CBA enterprise knowledge and practical data and technology literacy.

  • Haveexperience working across data, analytics, platform, technology,transformationor operating model change.

  • Understand data products, producer-consumer models, platform adoption, data governance, data quality,controlsand consumption pathways.

  • Have shaped enterprise engagement and adoption strategies, with the ability to influence strategy and approach, not just support engagement activity.

  • Can influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in complex, regulated enterprise environments.

  • Simplify technical and operating model complexity into practical decisions,actionsand messages.

  • Are credible with data and technology teams, trusted by senior business stakeholders and comfortable working through ambiguity.

  • Can challenge constructively and lead alignment across competing priorities.

  • Bring strong executive communication, storytelling, structured problemsolvingand enterprise planning capability.

  • Understand risk,governanceand controls, and can embed operating model change through adoption measurement andbehaviouralchange leadership.

  • Are motivated by enterprise and customer-led outcomes, product-led operating model thinking, and helping producers and consumers adopt new ways of working.

  • The enterprise and customer perspective is embedded in the design of DataModernisationfrom the start.

  • Platform, capability, operatingmodeland adoption decisions are shaped around enterprise outcomes and practical adoption.

  • DataModernisationhas one clear,credibleand consistent enterprise narrative.

  • Engagement is coordinated,sequencedand connected to decisions andaction

  • Leaders are equipped to sponsor and reinforce the transformation.

  • Adoption risks areidentifiedearly and influence design,sequencingand intervention decisions.

  • Engagement activity leads to commitment,decisionsandbehaviourchange.

  • DataModernisationisrecognisedas an enterprise shift in accountability, not a technology rollout.

About you:

You will not wait for decisions to be made and then translate them for stakeholders. You will be in the room shaping the decisions, challenging whether the approach will work in practice, and then helping leaders and teams understand, committoand adopt the change.
