Executive - Procurement

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Beverages and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.

The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive - Procurement. The position exists to handle creating purchase orders for direct material and shipping desk related requirements. Also to coordinate with suppliers by sharing the purchase orders of the direct materials and follow-up payment matters of clearing agents / duty payments / LC opening etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) from approved requisitions to approved Vendors.
• Vendor Master data Management in SAP as per the company guideline and Audit requirements.
• Make sure the Open POs are follow ups and close timely. Update vendor performance metrics.
• Regular update of the Shipping desk database.
• On time submission of invoices to proceed service providers payment.
• Regular update of dashboards and prepare monthly reports for the management review.
• Create service POs for the payment.
• Call Quotations from respective suppliers, summarize and present the analysis.

Person Specifications

• Bsc in Material Management/Procurement preferably with minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Material management knowledge in an FMCG Company.
• Import procedures, practices & new trends, purchasing & stock maintenance techniques.
• Sound knowledge in import procedures, practices & new trends, purchasing & stock maintenance techniques.
• Planning and control skills, organizing skills, communication skills, interpersonal relations, motivational skills, 'Quality' mind-set, Ability to quickly adjust to changing business requirements, strategic ability.
