Executive - Planning

Based at Noyon, Biyagama

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical individual to support production planning and capacity management activities, ensuring optimum utilization of resources and on time delivery to customers. The role involves coordinating with cross functional teams, monitoring production performance, managing capacity plans, and driving continuous improvements to support operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to obtain customer requirements and develop capacity and production plans.

• Prepare and maintain block book plans while reserving plant capacities to support timely order fulfillment and optimum resource utilization.

• Liaise with sourcing teams to ensure timely procurement of yarn and raw materials required to meet production and delivery targets.

• Follow up on production plans with relevant stakeholders to ensure orders are manufactured according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.

• Review and analyze actual production performance against plans, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to minimize delivery risks.

• Prepare, maintain, and update planning reports, production status reports, and planning systems to support operational and management decision making.

• Participate in pre production, production, and operational review meetings to resolve planning and technical issues and ensure smooth production flow.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including On Time Delivery (OTD), DIFOT, capacity utilization, and order fulfillment.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, line balancing projects, and operational excellence programs to enhance planning effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, governance standards, and relevant regulations.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related field.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning/reporting tools.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP will be an advantage.

• Experience with Power BI, dashboard development, and data visualization tools will be an added advantage.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
