Job Description

About the role

As Executive Officer, you will be the first point of contact for the Chief Executive Officer and the EPA Board.

  • Undertake high-level liaison with senior government officers, statutory office holders, Ministerial Offices, external organisations and the general public.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, explanatory papers, minutes and manage correspondence.
  • Supervise and coordinate the administrative operations of the Office of the CEO, and the EPA more broadly, including mentoring and training administrative and clerical staff.
  • Review and improve a range of complex administrative operations to ensure the efficient delivery and coordination of administrative resources.

This is a permanent position working 36.75 hours per week in Launceston.

  • Experience providing high-level support in an executive environment.
  • Demonstrated planning, organisation, and co-ordination skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the operational framework, including regulations, policies, systems, and processes, to maintain efficiency and delivery.
