Executive Officer in the School of Computing and Data Science (Ref: 537194)

The School of Computing and Data Science is seeking a reliable, highly organised, and proactive Executive Officer to provide high-level and robust administrative support to the School Director in daily operations.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with at least 8 years of work experience, preferably in the fields of supporting management level personnel in a university setting. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should also possess the ability to work independently with initiative, the ability to multitask, a proven track record in problem-solving and conflict-management, the ability to think strategically, as well as a high-level of ethics. Proficiency in advanced computer skills, graphic design, dairy management, drafting of high-level correspondence, and preparing meeting agendas and minutes are highly desirable.

Reporting to the School Director and the School Secretary, the appointee is expected to supervise a junior colleague and serve as the primary contact point in ensuring effective and adequate daily operational support for the Director’s office, and perform other duties as assigned. Occasional travel outside of Hong Kong may be required.

The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
