Job Description

Job Purpose *

The role will actively contribute to the department's AI transformation journey by identifying, promoting, and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, strengthen decision-making, and optimize application support and delivery processes. The incumbent will collaborate with business and technology teams to drive AI adoption, automation initiatives, and continuous innovation across the application landscape.

The role serves as the key liaison between Business Units, Group Administration & Group Branding stakeholders, vendors, technology teams, and support functions to ensure systems and digital solutions are delivered effectively, operated reliably, and aligned with the Bank's technology, security, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities *

1. Participate in BE’s business strategy sessions to understand business priorities and initiate IT strategy sessions to define and prioritise the IT needs/requirements for IT annual budgeting while ensuring alignment to the IT overall strategy.

2. Assess the business requirements, impacted systems and dependencies and work across Group Technology (GT) teams to plan, develop, design and implement the IT projects and strategic initiatives.

3. Review the IT service requests (ITSR) of all projects/ initiatives by assessing nature of ITSR, Project Initiation Form (PIF), High Level Solutions (HLS) and High Level Estimates (HLE) for prioritisation.

4. Review and communicate HLS and HLE to stakeholders.

5. Initiate and conduct regular periodic IT service meetings with BE stakeholders to track, monitor and report on the status of IT initiatives, projects, incidents and follow-up action items or issues.

6. Act as the key liaison between IT and BE stakeholders to provide consultative support including alternatives/options based on the available capacity and capability of the unit and GT organisation.

7. Direct and manage the end-to-end project delivery starting from project scoping and planning, financial and resource management, risk management, quality control, project execution, deployment and handover to post-deployment stabilisation and BAU mode.

8. Determine, plan and organize resource and budget requirements according to project prioritisation, scope, timeline and dependencies and escalate any constraints for the necessary support.

9. Build and manage relationships with cross functional team heads, BE stakeholders and program sponsors and ensure alignment of understanding and expectations for smooth and successful delivery of projects.

10. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other pillars within the unit and GT to manage the impact, interfaces and inter-dependencies of different projects and ensure all projects are efficiently and effectively delivered within agreed scope, timeline, quality and budget.

11. Manage and provide Level 2/3 support to Application Support team for production systems in BAU, when required.

12. Manage vendor selection and relationship including contract negotiation and management and liaise with them for alignment, performance monitoring and coordination of the delivery of project deliverables and technical related activities.

13. Actively conduct review with team members to projects progress, issues and risks associated with projects and provide alternatives or solutions to meet and achieve the expected project deliverables.

14. Ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with the established project and delivery management methodology, processes and standards and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, auditors, CIMB Group’s Enterprise Architecture and IT governance and standards, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning framework.

15. Keep abreast with technology, BE trends, industry standards and best practices on delivery methodology and tools to identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance technology and mitigate IT threats.

16. Provide accurate and timely project status and operational reports and information as required by management, business stakeholders, auditors, regulators, etc.

17. Facilitate collaboration with other pillars within GT to drive improvement in IT support operations, processes as well as share best practices.

18. Coach and manage the performance deliverables and quality of the team.

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements

• Adobe Experience Manager / Adobe Experience Cloud certification Certification (Added Advantage)

• AI, automation, data analytics, or digital productivity certification Certification (Added Advantage)

Relevant Work Experience

• Fresh graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Internship experience in a banking, financial services, or regulated enterprise environment will be an advantage.

• Exposure to supporting web-based applications, digital platforms, websites, CMS, eForms, or enterprise systems through internships, academic projects, or industrial training.

• Basic understanding of application delivery and support processes, including requirement gathering, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment support, incident management, and user support.

• Experience collaborating with business users, vendors, development teams, infrastructure teams, or cybersecurity teams during internship assignments, university projects, or extracurricular activities.

• Exposure to AI tools, automation technologies, or productivity tools for documentation, analysis, reporting, or operational support will be an added advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Adobe AEM Cloud / Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 knowledge.

• Web application, CMS, portal, and eForm application support.

• Understanding of web architecture, application server, database, API, middleware, and integration concepts.

• Understanding of SSO, IAM, ADFS, MFA, authentication flow, and access control.

• Basic understanding of cloud and on-premise application support.

• Ability to review application logs, monitoring alerts, incident findings, and root cause analysis.

• Awareness of cybersecurity requirements, vulnerability remediation, application hardening, and secure deployment practices.

• Understanding of SDLC, SIT, UAT, regression testing, release management, and deployment governance

• Ability to analyze and interpret functional specifications and translate them into effective technical solutions.

AI- Skills

• Hands-on ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent enterprise-approved AI tools.

• Ability to use AI tools to improve documentation, meeting summaries, requirement analysis, issue analysis, reporting, and productivity.

• Ability to use AI-assisted techniques for incident analysis, log review, root cause analysis, knowledge base preparation, and operational runbook creation
