Job Description

Job Purpose *

To support the development, testing, enhancement, and maintenance of the Murex platform and related Treasury & Markets applications. The role will work closely with Business Analysts, Senior Developers, Support Teams, and Business Users to deliver system enhancements, perform testing activities, resolve defects, and support project implementations.

The incumbent will participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT) support, and post-implementation support while ensuring adherence to development standards, IT governance, and security requirements.

Job Description *

Development Support

• Assist in the development and enhancement of Murex modules based on approved business and technical requirements.
• Perform coding, configuration, and customization activities under supervision.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation, including design specifications and unit test documents.
• Support defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution during development and testing phases.
• Participate in code reviews and implement recommended improvements.
• Assist in interface development and integration with upstream and downstream systems.

Testing Activities

• Prepare and execute Unit Test (UT), System Integration Test (SIT), and Regression Test cases.
• Document test scenarios, test results, and defect logs.
• Work with business users and project teams during UAT cycles.
• Reproduce, investigate, and validate reported defects.
• Perform retesting and ensure defect closure.
• Support production verification and deployment validation activities.

Application Support

• Assist in monitoring batch processing, interfaces, and application performance.
• Support day-to-day issue resolution and incident management activities.
• Participate in Ready-for-Business (RFB) checks and post-deployment validations.
• Support production releases and change implementations.
• Escalate issues proactively and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Project Support

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Support Teams, Infrastructure Teams, and Vendors.
• Participate in project meetings, workshops, and requirement discussions.
• Support project delivery activities and ensure assigned tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories.

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

Relevant Work Experience Experience gained through internships, industrial training, university projects, capstone assignments, or employment in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

• Software development, application support, or software testing.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
