Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 - $173,174 + super
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Manager to lead executive support functions and drive operational excellence for the Adaptation and Resilience division. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will serve as a key liaison between the division, the Office of the CEO, and Enabling Services, ensuring seamless information flow and organisational alignment. You will provide high-level risk and issues management and ensure the quality assurance of critical briefings and correspondence.
Lead and coordinate division-wide functions, including workload planning, resource allocation, and the management of secretariat and correspondence workflows.
Oversee the preparation and quality assurance of complex briefings, reports, and high-level correspondence to support accurate and timely executive decision-making.
Act as the primary point of contact between the delivery portfolio, the Office of the CEO, and Enabling Services to foster collaboration and achieve business outcomes.
Provide expert advice on emerging risks and sensitive issues, implementing prompt mitigation strategies to minimise organisational impact.
About You
You are a highly organised leader with a proven track record in strategic executive support and the ability to navigate complex, high-pressure environments. You must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage sensitive stakeholder relationships and act as a principal liaison across various delivery divisions and senior leadership offices. Additionally, we are looking for a sharp analytical thinker who can provide proactive risk and issues management while maintaining the utmost discretion and professional integrity.

Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in relevant field and/or relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience in exercising sound judgement, particularly in matters of great political sensitivity, strict confidentiality and/or potential controversy.
