Job Description

Lead the change. Shape the culture. Make it real.

Parkerville Children and Youth Care is looking for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander leader who is ready to step into a genuine leadership position - one with the scope, the seniority, and the organisational backing to drive meaningful, lasting cultural change.

This is an identified position. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply and must meet the identity requirement for this role.

As Executive Manager Cultural Safety, Practice and Partnerships, you will be Parkerville's cultural practice authority for Community Services. You will sit on the Community Services Executive Team, and your influence will be felt across every service, every team, and every decision we make.

About the Role

This is an executive position - real seniority, real accountability, real scope to shape how you lead it.

You will lead Parkerville's Reconciliation Action Plan, Aboriginal Engagement Framework, and anti-racist organisational strategy. You will build and sustain authentic partnerships with Aboriginal communities and ACCOs as well as embed cultural safety into service design, workforce practice, and the day-to-day reality of how we show up for Aboriginal children, young people, and families.

You will also be a co-leader in our place-based service delivery model - working alongside Executive Managers in the North and South as an equal partner.

The role is based primarily across our Midland and Armadale sites, with outreach across our metropolitan service footprint.

This role is 0.8 FTE (four days per week).

What You'll Bring

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity (essential)
  • Minimum 5 years' senior leadership experience in community services (or 10 years if without a tertiary qualification)
  • Deep, established relationships within Aboriginal community and a genuine understanding of local protocols and priorities
  • A track record of shifting organisational culture - not just advising on it
  • The confidence to influence at the executive level and advocate for what matters, even when it's hard
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex cultural knowledge into frameworks, training, and practice guidance that actually land

About Parkerville

We exist to support children, young people, and their families to address the impacts of trauma and build the skills and capacity to become the best versions of themselves.

We are a growing organisation, and we aim for our workforce to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve - because it has to. We genuinely believe that a team who brings different lived experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives delivers better outcomes for children and
families.

Our culture is one where people support each other, challenge each other, and care deeply about the work. If you want to be part of a leadership team that is genuinely invested - in the mission and in one another - this, is it.

What We Offer

  • Above award salary with salary Packaging benefits of up to $15,900 per year
  • Flexible working conditions
  • Modern facilities across all sites, including an onsite gym at Midland and end-of-trip facilities at all buildings
  • Committed investment in your professional development
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
