We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a proven Executive Manager with extensive experience in both network engineering and program delivery within tier 1 telcos within the Core, IP and Transport technology domain. This role will report to the General Manager Solution Engineering and Network Delivery and the formal job title will be Executive Manager Core Network Engineering and Delivery
A bit about your role
As the Executive Manager , you will lead the design, testing and delivery of network solutions that enable nbn to meet business requirements and deliver value outcomes efficiently. You will ensure solutions are fit for purpose, cost-effective, scalable and secure, aligning with nbn’s architecture and complying with regulatory, governance, quality and performance standards. This role will take ownership of risks and issues related to network design and delivery, overseeing root cause analysis, supporting Tier 4 production issues and driving process improvements. This includes reviewing and updating engineering standards and identifying opportunities for innovation and optimisation.
You will be pivotal in fronting delivery to the Networks business unit, providing clear plans, tracking progress, managing budgets and representing the broader Systems Engineering and Operations function. You will influence peers and stakeholders to achieve cross-group outcomes and foster collaboration across teams.
Your leadership both drive the transformation of your team to deliver faster, cheaper and better. You will empower front-line experts to make decisions, while you focus on removing roadblocks, managing dependencies and ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
A bit about you
You are an accomplished leader with extensive experience managing highly technical engineering teams and delivering complex network solutions within large-scale tier 1 Telco environments. You bring a proven track record of delivering projects in Core, IP and Transport technology domains, systems integration and solutions where IT, network and business processes converge.
You combine technical credibility with strategic insight, enabling you to engage confidently with engineers while influencing senior stakeholders. Your approach is collaborative and pragmatic, and you thrive in environments where you can balance technical depth with empowered leadership. With your ability to navigate complexity and drive outcomes, you will help nbn deliver innovative network solutions that support Australia’s digital future.
