The Executive Manager – AI Cybersecurity Assurance is a senior leadership position within Deeplight consultancy, embedded directly within a major banking client. The role is responsible for leading the governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) frameworks for the client’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning initiatives. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior bank executives and regulatory stakeholders, this position ensures that all AI deployments comply with internal security policies and global financial regulations, maintaining Deeplight's benchmark for professional excellence and strategic delivery.

You responsibilities in this role include:

• Governance Leadership: Establish, maintain, and oversee the AI cybersecurity assurance framework, ensuring all AI/ML models align with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory mandates.
• Compliance & Auditing: Lead formal security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews of AI systems, data pipelines, and third-party AI integrations.
• Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and document cybersecurity risks inherent in AI technologies, driving the remediation strategy across engineering and business teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for internal audit, risk committees, senior executives, and external regulatory bodies regarding AI security compliance.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor and report on the organization's AI security posture, ensuring that identified vulnerabilities and compliance gaps are tracked and resolved.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure that AI assurance activities support the broader strategic objectives of both Deeplight and the banking client, modeling senior-level professionalism across all engagements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we need you to have:

• A minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity governance, risk, or compliance (GRC), with a distinct focus on emerging technologies or advanced data platforms.
• Extensive experience operating within a highly regulated tier-1 or tier-2 financial institution, navigating strict internal audit and risk structures.
• Proven track record in a senior client-facing professional services or consulting role, managing complex executive-level relationships.
• Direct experience leading or defending large-scale technology audits and regulatory reviews.
• A deep understanding of AI governance frameworks, ethical AI principles, and emerging global regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, local central bank guidelines).
• Advanced capability in designing and executing risk assessment methodologies tailored to complex, data-driven technologies.
• Expert knowledge of financial services cybersecurity regulations, data privacy standards, and auditing practices.
• The ability to articulate complex technical risk and compliance concepts clearly to board-level executives, auditors, and regulators.
• A proven capacity to drive accountability and lead cross-functional compliance initiatives without direct authority over engineering teams.

It would be great if you also have:

• Relevant designations such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, or specialized AI governance credentials.
• A conceptual understanding of MLOps, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and data lifecycle management.
• Practical experience applying NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT frameworks to AI and automated decision-making systems.
