Permanent Full Time

$187,200 per annum, plus superannuation

Are you a strategic leader with the vision and influence to deliver meaningful regional outcomes Buloke Shire Council is seeking an exceptional Executive Lead – Regional Growth & Strategic Advocacy to champion our advocacy agenda, attract investment and funding, and position Buloke as a thriving, investment-ready municipality.

In this role you will:

  • Lead Council's strategic advocacy, regional growth and investment attraction initiatives while developing strong partnerships with government, industry and regional stakeholders.
  • Secure external funding and investment opportunities, influence policy outcomes, and drive economic development projects that support jobs, infrastructure and sustainable community growth.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Council, while leading a collaborative, high-performing team and delivering Council's regional growth priorities.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring significant senior leadership experience in economic development, regional development, strategic advocacy or public policy, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrate success influencing government, securing funding, delivering major strategic initiatives and building productive partnerships across government, business and the community.
  • Be an engaging and politically astute leader with exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship management skills, capable of providing strategic advice and leading high-performing teams in a complex environment.
