Position Title: Executive - Industrial Engineering

Department: Technology

Location: Waluj, Chh. Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra

Reporting To: Manager - Industrial Engineering

Purpose of the Position:

The position for Executive Industrial Engineering is responsible for driving productivity, process

optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations. The role

focuses on work measurement, capacity planning, layout optimization, lean implementation, Assembly

line design, Material handling, Routing update in SAP and continuous improvement initiatives to

enhance plant performance and competitiveness

Role requirement summary:

Main Task

  • Time study, Method study and routing update
  • Layout preparation & implementation
  • Productivity calculation & improvement
  • Lean implementation
  • Procurement of workstation, Conveyor, material handling equipment’s, Tools, Jigs & fixtures
  • Work instruction preparation
  • Capacity and manpower calculation

Technical Competencies

  • Time study & Method study: Stopwatch and MTM/MOST technique
  • Layout design & implementation
  • Productivity calculation & improvement
  • Lean Manufacturing implementation
  • Value stream mapping (VSM)
  • Line balancing
  • Kaizen & Continuous Improvement
  • Workstation & material handling system design
  • Ergonomics
  • SAP / ERP Systems
  • Work instruction preparation.

Process Development & control

  • Procurement of the Equipment’s/Tools/Jigs & fixtures/Measuring equipment’s
  • Design and optimise production line
  • Define technical specifications for workstation, conveyor, material handling, etc
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and handover of equipment’s
  • Evaluate automated solutions and next-generation systems
  • Analyse production data to optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulation’s
  • Support internal and external audits and certification processes
  • Engineering change implementation
  • Implement quality management standards ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO18001 & ISO50001

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Maintenance teams
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers for capability and compliance
  • Contribute to TPM-KK pillar, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

Engineering, software & Analytical Tools

  • AutoCAD Software: Ability to review and modify layout and workstation designs in AutoCAD
  • Layout design tools- like VisTable or equivalent
  • MS office with Advanced Excel & Data Analysis
  • Knowledge of SAP and documentation systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Certification course in Time study and Lean tools, MTM/MOST

Experience

  • 08–10 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, process industries
