Executive – Industrial Engineering

(Based at MAS Bodyline – Horana)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure continuous improvement of the operation through lean and industrial engineering principles and related tools to maximize the utilization of man, material & machine, and standard it across the assigned modules.

• Ensure optimal utilization of the autonomation solutions whilst carrying out Kaizen activities to create maximize productivity.

• Carry out the activities in the critical path of the factory integration and quick changeover process to minimize bucket loss in the production.

• Liaise with technical training team and Group Leaders to ensure skill levels of the value stream is up to the required standards.

• Implement special projects (dancing module, chassis base planning, machine uberization, continuous flow, Lean phase out) for the assigned modules to generate expected business results.

• Conduct Yamazumi based on the given plan in order to identify critical areas for improvement, suggest solutions to improve efficiency and conduct training as and when required.

• Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following group policies & procedures, best practices relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree in Engineering, Physical Science or any discipline from a recognized university.

• 2 years’ production experience in apparel sector.

• Negotiation & presentations skills.
