We are seeking an exceptional Executive Housekeeping Manager to lead one of our prestigious 5-star hotel operations in Melbourne.

This opportunity is suited to a proven hospitality leader who is passionate about developing high-performing teams, delivering impeccable service standards, and driving operational excellence.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the housekeeping department within a luxury 5-star hotel.

You will lead a large team of Supervisors, Team Leaders, Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants while working closely with hotel leadership to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, productivity and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing housekeeping team.
• Manage the daily housekeeping operation across all guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected and released on time to meet occupancy demands.
• Maintain exceptional luxury brand standards and guest satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with hotel management and key stakeholders.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop housekeeping employees.
• Conduct daily team briefings and performance coaching.
• Prepare rosters and manage labour costs to budget.
• Monitor productivity and operational KPIs.
• Manage inventories, stock control and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Investigate and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager within a luxury 5-star hotel in Melbourne.
• Experience leading large housekeeping teams in premium hotel environments.
• Strong operational leadership and people management skills.
• Proven experience managing labour budgets and productivity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays when operationally required.

Highly Regarded

• Experience working within an outsourced housekeeping environment.
• Experience with hotel property management systems.
• Continuous improvement or quality management experience.
