The team of the The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is looking for a Lady or Gentlemen for the position:

Executive Housekeeper

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and overall performance of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout the hotel. You will oversee all Housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry and uniform services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to The Ritz-Carlton brand standards.

In this leadership role, you will manage a diverse Housekeeping structure consisting of both hotel-employed Ladies and Gentlemen and an external Housekeeping provider. You will ensure seamless collaboration, consistent service delivery and full alignment with brand standards across all teams. You will drive guest satisfaction, associate engagement, operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the department. You will report directly to the Director of Rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping Leadership & Strategy
    Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Housekeeping Department, aligning departmental goals, performance, and culture with hotel objectives and Ritz-Carlton brand standards
  • Cleanliness & Guest Experience Excellence
    Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all guest rooms and public areas, contributing to a seamless and personalized luxury experience
  • Operational & Financial Oversight
    Manage daily Housekeeping operations, staffing and resources while monitoring budgets, labor costs, productivity and guest feedback to optimize performance
  • Quality Assurance & Standards
    Maintain strict compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations and cleanliness protocols, leading inspections, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure efficient room readiness, maintenance coordination and flawless service delivery
  • Talent Development & Engagement
    Select, train and inspire the Housekeeping team through coaching, performance management and a culture rooted in Ritz-Carlton values, diversity and inclusion

  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
    Lead and support key Housekeeping-related projects such as process improvements or renovations, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with operational standards

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Housekeeping operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Proven experience managing mixed workforce environments, including external service providers
  • Experience leading or supporting projects such as hotel openings, renovations, or major refurbishments is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational, operational and financial management skills with a hands-on leadership approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS and Housekeeping management systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required
  • Fluency in English and German; additional languages are a strong advantage

The statutory gross minimum remuneration for this position, based on full-time employment, is € 2.492,00 per month. A higher salary will be offered, depending on your qualifications and experience.
