An experienced Executive Head Housekeeper is required to lead and support a high-performing housekeeping team within a luxury hospitality environment near Skipton. This role will take overall responsibility for the housekeeping function, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained across all areas of the property.
Lead and supervise all housekeeping operations, including Head Housekeeper, supervisors, room attendants, public area cleaners, and linen porter.
Hold full P&L accountability for the Housekeeping Department.
Manage weekly rota budgets across housekeeping, laundry, and public areas.
Oversee holiday planning for housekeeping and laundry teams.
Conduct weekly property walks alongside Operations and Maintenance teams.
Carry out daily room audits and schedule deep cleaning programmes.
Ensure cleanliness standards across all areas, including the hotel, spa, and external spaces.
Conduct one-to-one meetings and monthly performance reviews.
Maintain professional presentation standards across the team in line with company expectations.
Manage employee relations matters as required.
Maintain exceptional attention to detail to ensure consistently high standards and guest satisfaction.
Control stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as required.
Oversee external laundry operations, including invoicing and cost auditing.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards in collaboration with senior management.
Deliver ongoing training within the housekeeping department to maintain service excellence.
Support project management and CAPEX initiatives where required.
Ensure all bedrooms are maintained to a consistently high standard.
Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure operational efficiency of all rooms.
Support wider business objectives and contribute to overall success.
Collaborate with all departmental heads to ensure seamless operations.
Complete regular hotel audits, identifying and reporting any issues.
Ensure the team has the appropriate resources, skills, and equipment to deliver outstanding service.
Provide additional support to the Operations Manager as required.
Previous experience as an Executive Head Housekeeper within a 4-star or similar environment, managing large teams.
Strong people management and leadership skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Positive attitude with energy, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humour.
