Haycarb PLC, a member of the Hayleys Group, is a global leader in coconut shell-based activated carbon manufacturing. We operate in key international markets, with manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia, and marketing offices in the USA, Australia, and Europe. In Sri Lanka, our manufacturing facilities are in the Northwestern and Western Provinces.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Executive – Maintenance to join our team at the Madampe manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience in plant maintenance, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, performance-driven setting.

Position: Executive-Maintenance

Location: Madampe Manufacturing Facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the proper maintenance and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment to achieve performance targets.
• Execute maintenance activities in a safe and compliant manner, fostering a strong safety culture within the team.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment history and ensure proper documentation through the SAP PM module.
• Lead, train, and supervise team members, ensuring discipline and consistent achievement of labor performance standards.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO standards (9001:2015, 14001:2015, 22000:2018, 45001:2018) by maintaining, optimizing, and driving effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the stores department to ensure the timely availability of essential spare parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance plant systems, efficiency, and operational reliability.
• Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the management.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university in Sri Lanka.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered a strong advantage.
• Foundational understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and HACCP is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and adaptable individual with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness and ability to work on a shift basis.
