Haycarb PLC, a subsidiary of Hayleys group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of coconut shell-based activated carbon, operates in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, the USA, Australia, and Europe. In Sri Lanka, its manufacturing facilities are in the Northwestern and Western Provinces. Haycarb is seeking a dynamic and results-driven “Maintenance-Executive” to join our team.

Position: Executive-Maintenance

Location –Badalgama (Manufacturing Facility)

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of plant machinery to meet performance targets.
• Execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently while enforcing safety compliance.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage, train, and maintain discipline within the team to achieve labor performance targets.
• Ensure departmental activities adhere to good housekeeping practices, 5S standards, and the company's safety and health policies.
• Coordinate with stores to ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 22000, 45001) while initiating and completing necessary Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (NDT/HNDE or NVQ Level 5).
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in maintenance and planning.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Foundational knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and HACCP is an added advantage.
• Strong team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to excel in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
• Willingness to work on shifts.
